Welcome to the Patrick McGrath Academy of Irish Dance, offering solo and figure dancing lessons to students ages 5 to Adult. Students of the Academy are provided with instruction on building rhythm, balance, endurance and strength in an enjoyable learning environment while developing an appreciation for Irish Music and Dance.

Since the 90's, Irish Dance has become synonymous with performance. Productions such as "Riverdance" and "Lord of the Dance" have portrayed Irish dance as a performance dance form. Our students are encouraged to be proud and share what they learn with others. While dancers are given many opportunities to perform in local events and parades, our students may also be eligible to participate in competition. All students are trained with what they will need to compete in an Irish Dance competition (called a Feis, pronounced "fesh"), since lessons are geared towards the Feis syllabi the opportunity to attend a competition is always available and provides a structured goal-driven environment where dancers can see their progress and be rewarded.

Feel free to browse our site or drop by a local class to observe and ask questions of the instructor or our student parents. Parents and students are encouraged to frequently check this website for announcements, updates and changes concerning your academy!

Thank you for stopping by and we hope to see you soon!
